The volume of investments made in Azerbaijan's oil sector in January-July 2015 totaled 4.1 billion manat, or 18.84 percent more than in the same period of 2014, Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee said in its report on the first seven months of 2015.
During the reporting period, the total volume of investments in Azerbaijan's industrial sector hit 4.8 billion manat, or 18.8 percent more than in the same period of 2014, according to the report.
Some 4.2 billion manat of these funds were invested in the mining industry or 21.5 percent more than in the same period of 2014.
In January-July, investments in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heat, totaled 84.3 million manat or 49.2 percent less than in the same period of 2014.
