More than $ 62 billion were invested in the oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan as part of PSA contracts in 1994-2015, the article of SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev, published in the official press Sept. 21, said.
More than 20 international companies were involved in the oil and gas operations in the Caspian Sea as part of the "Contract of the Century", according to the statement.
Moreover, SOCAR and its subsidiaries are the participants of PSA contracts, signed with 27 companies from 15 countries, the statement said. Some 4.1 billion manat was invested in the Azerbaijani oil sector in January-July 2015, which is 18.84 percent more than in the same period of last year.
