The largest enterprise of Turkmenistan's gas and chemical industry will be commissioned at the end of 2018, Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported.
The complex, which is being built in Kiyanly district, is designed to process five billion cubic meters of natural gas for the production of 386,000 tons of polyethylene and 81,000 tons of polypropylene per year.
The project is implemented by Japan's Toyo Engineering Corporation, South Korea's LG and Hyundai companies.
The cost of the project is $3.4 billion.
This project's implementation will provide high-quality products not only for country's domestic demand but also the foreign market.
