Azerbaijan produced 1.08 million tons of oil products in January-May 2016 as compared to 2.74 million tons in the same period 2015, says a report of the country’s State Statistics Committee.
Currently, due to the increased fuel consumption in Azerbaijan, the country’s state oil company SOCAR is conducting a work to modernize the existing processing capacities.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan produced 471,000 tons of motor gasoline, which is 10.4 percent less than in January-May 2015.
