OPEC oil basket’s price stood at $44.32 per barrel on June 27, or $0.56 less than on June 24, the cartel told Trend June 28.
The OPEC Reference Basket (ORB) is made up of the following oil brands: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Minas (Indonesia), Iran Heavy (Islamic Republic of Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey (Venezuela).
Global oil prices increase on June 28 against the background of the impending strike in Norway that can reduce the output of raw materials of the Western Europe’s largest producer.
The price for September futures of the North Sea Brent oil mix increased by 1.65 percent – to $47.94 per barrel, while the price of August futures for WTI oil increased by 1.86 percent – to $47.19 per barrel June 28 as of 11:20 (UTC/GMT+4 hours).
