The Board of Directors of Kazakhstan’s oil and gas company KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (KMG EP) elected Igor Goncharov to the post of the company’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, the company reported on Sept. 22. The decision came in force immediately.
Previous Chairman of the Board of Directors Christopher Simon Hopkinson has resigned due to family reasons.
Igor Goncharov, has been serving as a member of KMG EP Board of Directors since November 2015 and is a Senior vice-president for production of oil and gas in the national oil and gas company KazMunaiGas NC KMG.
KMG EP is among the top three Kazakh oil producers. The overall production in 2015 was 12.4 million tons of oil, including the company’s share in joint ventures.
