The shareholders of Kazakh Atyrau Refinery elected Galymzhan Amanturlin to the post of the Chairman of the Board, external relations department of the refinery reported.
Atyrau refinery is one of three large oil refineries operating in Kazakhstan.
In 2002-2016 Galymzhan Amanturlin worked in Kazakh National Oil and Gas Company KazMunaiGas where he serves as Head of oil, gas refining, and petrochemicals department, Managing director and General manager for the oil refining and petrochemical projects.
The previous Chairman of the Board of Atyrau refinery is transferred to the post of Director of Modernization Department in KazMunaiGas where he will be responsible for the reconstruction of three oil refineries in Kazakhstan.
