More than 24.4 million tons of oil was transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline in January-October 2016, as compared to 24.11 million tons in the first ten months of 2015, said Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR in a message Nov. 7.
The BTC pipeline transported 2.36 million tons of Azerbaijani oil and 263,870 tons of Turkmen oil in October 2016.
More than 317.08 million tons of oil have been transported via BTC pipeline since the beginning of its operation.
In January-October 2016, some 24.63 million tons of oil have been delivered to the world markets from Turkey’s Ceyhan port compared to 23.97 million tons of oil shipped in January-October 2015.
