The price of OPEC basket of fourteen crudes stood at $40.94 a barrel on Nov.14, compared with $41.54 Nov.11, according to the cartel’s website.
The new OPEC Reference Basket of Crudes (ORB) is made up of the following: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Oriente (Ecuador), Rabi Light (Gabon), Minas (Indonesia), Iran Heavy (Islamic Republic of Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey (Venezuela).
Oil prices rose around 2 percent on Nov.15. US crude futures for December delivery had climbed 90 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $44.22 a barrel by 07:46 GMT.
January Brent futures were up 71 cents, or 1.6 percent, at $45.14 per barrel.
