Kazakhstan produced 6.98 million tons oil and gas condensate in October 2016

Kazakhstan produced 6.98 million tons oil and gas condensate in October 2016, the Kazakh Statistics Committee said.

It is 14.4 percent more compared to the previous month and 11.1 percent more compared to October 2016.
Meanwhile oil and gas condensate production in January- October 2016 decreased by 2.9 percent compared to the same period of 2015 to 63.87 million tons (53.7 tons of oil and 10.17 tons of gas condensate).

Oil production decreased by 2.5 percent and gas condensate production fell by 4.4 percent since the beginning of 2016.
Gas production hit 4.09 billion cubic meters in October, which is 14.2 percent more compared to the previous month and 16.8 percent more compared to the October 2015.

In January-October 2016 gas production increased by 0.8 percent compared to the same period of 2015 to 37.74 billion cubic meters.
Associated gas production amounted to 20.14 billion cubic meters since the beginning of 2016, which is 2.5 percent more than in the same period of 2015.

In October Kazakhstan launched production at huge Kashagan oil and gas field. The total oil reserves of Kashagan amount to 38 billion barrels. Some 10 billion out of them are recoverable reserves. Kashagan’s natural gas reserve exceeds one trillion cubic meters.
Kazakhstan's proven oil reserves as of early 2016 stood at 30 billion barrels, according to the BP Statistical Review of World Energy.
