Net profit of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR totaled nearly 550 million manats in the 1H2016, said SOCAR Vice-President for economic issues Suleyman Gasimov at a press conference in Baku Jan. 17.
SOCAR’s total profit amounted to 3.25 billion manats in 2015, as compared to 3.83 billion manats. Profit from the company’s operational activity totaled almost 1.29 billion manats in 2015, as compared to 1.8 billion manats in 2014.
Total assets of the state oil company amounted to 39.95 billion manats in 2015, as compared to about 24.07 billion manats in 2014.
SOCAR’s total capital amounted to 14.65 billion manats in 2015, as compared to 11.06 billion manats in 2014. Meanwhile, the company’s authorized capital totaled 1.42 billion manats in 2015, as compared to 1.5 billion manats in 2014.
SOCAR includes such production associations as Azneft (the enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerikimya (the chemical enterprises) and Azerigas (distributes gas produced in the country), as well as oil and gas processing plants, service companies, and the facilities involved in geophysical and drilling operations.
