Kazakhstan’s gasoline production up

Kazakhstan increased production of gasoline (including aviation gasoline) by 2.8 percent in January-December 2016, as compared to the same period in 2015 to 2.95 million tons

Kazakhstan increased production of gasoline (including aviation gasoline) by 2.8 percent in January-December 2016, as compared to the same period in 2015 to 2.95 million tons, said the country’s Statistics Committee.
In Dec. 2016 gasoline production hit 315,400 tons which is 26.3 percent more compared to the previous month and 16.9 percent more compared to December 2015.

The gasoil (diesel fuel) output has increased by 4.6 percent and stood at 4.69 million tons in Kazakhstan in January-December 2016.

The production of kerosene, including the jet fuel, decreased by 17 percent and totaled 255,900 tons in the country.
The production of furnace fuel oil has dropped by 20.2 percent and totaled 3.11 million tons in January-December 2016.

Currently, modernization work is underway in all three large refineries of Kazakhstan (Atyrau, Shymkent and Pavlodar). It will significantly improve the quality and the environmental friendliness of its products, increase its capacity and ensure the output of high-octane gasoline meeting the K5 standard (analogue of Euro 5 standard in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union). It is planned to complete the modernization of those refineries in 2018.
