Iran’s gas export to Turkey down in 11 months of 2016

Turkey imported 6.85 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas from Iran in January-November 2016 as compared to 6.95 bcm in the same period of 2015, Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority said in a report on its website.

Iran supplied 7.83 bcm of natural gas to Turkey in 2015 as compared to 8.93 bcm in 2014.

The report also says Turkey imported 40.78 bcm of gas in January-November 2016, of which 34.45 bcm were delivered via pipelines, while 6.33 bcm accounted for the import of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Iran provided 16.9 percent of Turkey’s total gas import in January-November 2016.

Turkey imports the Iranian gas through the Tabriz-Ankara pipeline with capacity of 14 bcm per year.
