Kazakhstan’s gasoline production up

Kazakhstan increased production of gasoline (including aviation gasoline) by 18.2 percent in January- March 2017, as compared to the same period in 2016 to 810,300 tons

Kazakhstan increased production of gasoline (including aviation gasoline) by 18.2 percent in January- March 2017, as compared to the same period in 2016 to 810,300 tons, said the country’s Statistics Committee.

Meanwhile gasoline output in March 2017 hit 246,600 tons (5.6 percent decrease compared to February 2017).
The gasoil (diesel fuel) output has increased by 28.8 percent and stood at almost 1.12 million tons in Kazakhstan in January-March 2017. Diesel fuel production level in March hit 387,500 tons (15.4 percent increase compared to February).

The production of kerosene, including the jet fuel, increased by 8.5 percent and totaled 52,600 tons in the country in January-March.
The production of furnace fuel oil has risen by 38.5 percent and totaled 782,800 tons in January-March 2017.

Currently, modernization work is underway in all three large refineries of Kazakhstan (Atyrau, Shymkent and Pavlodar). It will significantly improve the quality and the environmental friendliness of its products, increase its capacity and ensure the output of high-octane gasoline meeting the K5 standard (analogue of Euro 5 standard in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union). It is planned to complete the modernization of those refineries in 2018.
