By Maksim Tsurkov – Trend:

Nearly 160,000 tons (1.2 million barrels) of Azeri Light oil will be exported from the Georgian port of Supsa in June 2017, a source in Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR told Trend May 19.

Oil from Georgia’s Black Sea port of Supsa will be exported in two equal batches of 600,000 barrels each.

“Both June shipments will account for SOCAR,” noted the source.

The company exported 878,660 tons of oil from the Georgian port of Supsa in January-April 2017, as compared to 776,200 tons in the same period of 2016.

Azeri Light oil is delivered to Supsa from Azerbaijan’s Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block of oil and gas fields via the Baku-Supsa pipeline. The pipeline is operated by the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC).
