Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR will send about 425,000 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in the third quarter of 2017, a source in SOCAR told Trend June 23.
SOCAR transported 240,000 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in the first quarter of 2017, as compared to 330,000 tons in the second quarter of 2017.
The Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,147 kilometers long. The length of its Azerbaijani section is 231 kilometers, and Russian section is 916 kilometers long.
The pipeline’s maximum pumping capacity is 105,000 barrels per day. SOCAR plans to transport 1.5 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in 2017.
