The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) closed down a tender on sale of a tanker of Azeri Light, produced by the Azerbaijan International Operating Company under the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli contract area, from the Georgian port Batumi.
The SOCAR, which owns 19%-share at the AIOC, told Trend Arcadia won a tender to export 80,000 tons of oil at FOB from Batumi, the shipment has been scheduled for 24-25 June.
Batumi oil terminal is capable trans-shipping up to 15 mln tons per year. The tankers with deadweight of 30-90 thousand tons serve the terminal at four piers, including remote buoy for ships of category Aframax. Presently, the capacity of reservoir park of the terminal is about 530 thousand tons, this is quite enough for trans-shipment of current and projected volumes, passing via corridor.
