CHEMISTRY CONGLOMERATE ANNOUNCES A TENDER

The Caoutchouc Plant, a structural division of the state oil company Azerkimya, has announced a tender on the acquisition of 150 tons of styrene.

In accordance with the requirements of tender, the participants must transfer 1.5 million manats (roughly 320 U.S. dollars), with bids acceptable till August 11.

The unsealing of bids has been scheduled for August 12, at the Sumgayit-based Caoutchouc Plant.

Since January through May, Azerkimya has increased the production of some chemicals. In particular, the production of nitrogen, chlorine dioxide and caustic soda has grown 14.4, 72 and 8.9 per cent, respectively, over the reported period.
