SOCAR MAY CONSIDERABLY INCREASE SHIPMENT OF CRACKING MAZUT IN JULY

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to ship in July 35,000 tons of the cracked mazut, produced at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery (former Azerneftyanajag, part of SOCAR), after additional processing of the straight-run mazut, to the French Total and the Singapur Petrofarm companies, SOCAR told Trend.

The Oil Refinery (OR) Azerneftyag will deliver in July a large quantity of the straight-run mazut to the Heydar Aliyev OR, after processing of which the latter may produce 20,000 tons of gasoline and about 75,000 of the cracked mazut.

According to the SOCAR spokesman, the French Total company will be shipped 5,000 tons of the cracked mazut for the needs of the Georgian market in July, and 30,000 tons more for Petrofarm will be transported to the Georgian ports of Poti and Batumi. В"The possibility of increasing the mazut exporting from planned 35,000 tons up to 100,000 tons is not excluded”, SOCAR pointed out.

During January-June 4601,1 thousand tons of various oil products has been exported from the Heydar Aliyev OR, which is 41,5 thousand tons more of the 2004 first half.
