The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) announced tender on sale of 1 tanker cargo of the profit oil of the Azeri Light brand from the Georgian Black Sea port of Supsa.
SOCAR lifts the profit oil on the account of the crude oil production on the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field. SOCAR owns 10% shares in this project. The project operator is BP.
The tender is expected to end on 19 July, the shipment of the tanker is scheduled for 6-7 August 2005, the SOCAR told Trend.
Shipping of 1 million barrels of oil from Supsa has been also planned for 26-27 September, 22-23 October, 16-17 November and 29-30 December. Means after realization of the Azerbaijan's profit oil come to the country's State Oil Fund.
At the end of May SOCAR closed the tender for the profit oil 5th consignment sale. The winner is the British R-Trading company, which will take the oil from Supsa on 9-10 June. The remaining four consignments of the Azeri Light were bought from Supsa since the start of the year by Glencore, Arcadia, Unipetrol Рё Total. The sulphur content in Azeri Light is 0,14%, density in degrees by API - 34,9.
