During January-May 2005, 58,1 thousand tons of liquefied gas has been sold in the Azerbaijani market, which is by 2,3% higher of the similar period of 2004, the State Statistics Committee (SSC) of Azerbaijan told Trend.
According to the SSC data, the remainders of gas at the finished products storage area in late April were 3,6 thousand tons, which is by 9,1% more of the remainders in late May of 2004.
The domestic price for 1 ton of liquefied gas (butane-butylene and propane- propylene fraction) by SOCAR is 587288 manats, the wholesale price in the domestic market is 893000 manats, the retail price is 1200000 manats.
The liquefied gas is currently produced at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refining Plant (former Azerneftyanajag), part of the SOCAR and at the JSC Azerbaijan Qaz Emali (the Azerbaijani gas processing plant in Garadag).
