SOCAR SUSPENDED DELIVERIES OF JET FUEL TO PETROGAS TEMPORARILY

Oil&Gas Materials 18 July 2005 17:03 (UTC +04:00)

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has suspended temporarily shipments of the jet fuel of the TS-1 brand produced by the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery (former Azerneftyanajag), a part of SOCAR, to the British Petrogas.

The company will not supply jet fuel to Petrogas in July, as, first, the Azal State Concern increased its demands in oil products, second, its production decreased due to the oil loading decrease at the Oil Refinery, SOCAR told Trend.

SOCAR concluded a contract with Petrogas in late May for delivery of 50,000 tons of the jet fuel with the shipment basis FOB the Georgian ports Poti and Batumi.

According to the SOCAR spokesman, one tanker consignment of jet fuel in the volume of 25,000 tons has been shipped to Petrogas on FOB Batumi basis.

В"The situation with the fuel in the domestic market in August is likely to change and we will continue our deliveries of TS-1 to PetrogasВ", - the SOCAR spokesman pointed out.
