The preparations for laying of the foundation stone for a 500 megawatt new gas steam device (GSD), installed by jointly by the Azerenerji and German Siemens, at the Sumgayit power station is underway.
The ceremony will be held soon with participation of the country’s leadership, the press-service of the Azerenerji told Trend referring to Vugar Shahmuradov, the Director of the station.
According Shahmuradov, they are carrying out works on accomplishment of the territory, where the site for the foundation of the administrative blocs of the GSD is planned.
New administrative buildings of the power station are put into exploitation till starting of the project works. Shahmuradov also noted that the site for laying of foundation stone was determined. It is foundation of the control pane of the GSD.
The construction will be completed in the late 2007 in order the station delivered the power to the energy network in the winter of 2007-2008.
The Consortium of European Banks allotted a 300,335 million euros credit for implementation of the projects. 257 million euros will be spent on the construction, while the rest part will be directed to the insurance of the credit, payment of consultant’s service.
