AZERIGAZ STARTED CONSTRUCTING UNDERWATER GAS PIPELINE TO NAR

Azerigaz Joint Stock Company (JSC) started constructing of the underwater gas pipeline within the project of restoration of the gas supply to the Nakhchevan Autonomous Republic (NAR), JSC told Trend.

The machinery and the equipment for the gas pipeline are ready for the start of the construction works. The gas pipeline will be laid under the Araz river and connect the gas lines of Iran and NAR.

"The gas pipeline construction is currently commenced at the entrance to the river.

The length of the section is 1,56 km. Explosive works are carried out on the gas pipeline route, followed by the pipe laying works”, JSC noted.

By the experts’ opinion, the underwater gas pipeline’s construction will take 15-20 days.
