GERMAN BANK INVESTS 430M EUROS IN AZERBAIJANI ECONOMY

Bayerische Landesbank, the German bank, has invested 430m euro in Azerbaijan during its presence in the country since 1998, Azerenerji JSC reports quoting Ralf Schmidt, a member of the management of the bank.

He noted that Azerbaijan was the most important market for the bank in the region.

Speaking on the financing the construction of the Sumgayit Power Station, Schmidt noted that the credit was allotted equally and is managed by Bayerische Landesbank and French banks BNP Paribas and Sosiete Generale. The key task of the organization is to finance the coordination of shares from different countries.

He underlined that the participant banks of the syndicate, in particular, Bayerische Landesbank were interested in participation in new projects in Azerbaijan.
