Azerenerji has accorded with the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) a
list of companies which will participate in the tender on selection of a consultant under the project on the construction of the second 400 MW gas-steam rig at Shimal Hydro-Electric Power Station, Azerenerji JSC told Trend.
The list includes 4 foreign companies, of which 2 are from Japan. The JSC intends to hold shortly a tender and set up the development of tender terms for selection of a contractor.
An agreement committing JBIC to submit to Azerbaijan a 29,280bn yens privileged credit (over $275m) for the construction of the second 400 MW gas-steam rig at Shimal Hydro-Electric Power Station was signed in Baku on 13 May.
The JBIC loan was presented to Azerbaijan for 40 years with 10-year privileged credit with 0.75% rates. The cost of the project is $330m.
