TURKISH DELEGATION ARRIVED IN BAKU FOR TAKING PART IN CONFERENCE

A Turkish delegation of 14 persons comprising members of the Parliament and energy enterprises arrived in Baku today for participation in the scientific-practical conference “Liberalization in energy sector and the Azerbaijani model for energy distribution”.

Opening of a new building of the department on customers service of the Barmek company is expected in the framework of the visit, Trend reports. Commissioning of the Electrical Transmission Line Hazri-Siyazan, the substation in Siyazan region, substations in Mashtaga and Mardakyan are scheduled for tomorrow.

The energy commission chairman Soner Aksoy noted, the delegation would get familiar with the liberalization of the energy sector of Azerbaijan and the projects implemented by Barmek.

В"Azerbaijan is rich in energy resources which enables it to turn into one of the important states in the world, as the world practice shows, those countries, which produce electrical power are the outstanding countries in the world”, he noted.

He also noted, meetings with the Milli Mejlis permanent commission representatives on natural resources, energy and ecology are planned on 10 September.
