The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) produces daily 200,000 barrels of oil from 6 production wells in the central part of the “Azeri” field, AIOC told Trend. The company plans to commission the 7-th production well by the end of September. Totally, the oil from 10 wells is supposed to extract at central “Azeri”.
The efficiency of the platform operation on central “Azeri” is 82,2%.
Thus, in the yearly statistical terms the oil production of AIOC exceeds 9, 8 million tons of the Azeri Light brand oil from the “Azeri” field only, not taking into account the “Chirag” field.
During January-August 2005 AIOC produced 7,37 million tons of oil from the whole contract area, which is for 3,22 thousand tons more of the same period of 2004.
In January-August 2005 from the total amount AIOC produced 4,67 million tons of oil at the “Chirag” oil field and 2,69 million tons from central “Azeri”. AIOC started production of the first oil on “Azeri” on 13 February 2005.
