The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) closed tender for the sale of the next consignment of the Azeri Light profit oil from the Georgian port Supsa. The winner is the Turkish company Turpas, which will ship 1 million barrel (135.000 tons) of the Azeri Light on 6-7 October from Supsa, SOCAR told Trend.
German Select Energy GMBH won a previous tender on purchase of 1 million barrel (135.000 tons) of the Azeri Light on 30 September-1 October from Supsa. This year Select Energy GMBH was twice successful in a tender issued by the SOCAR on sale of oil from Supsa.
In September the partners of the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), developing the off-shore block “Azeri-Chirag-Gyuneshli (ACG) plan to ship 430,000 tons of oil from Supsa. Such volume of the oil will be shipped by four tanker cargoes.
