Implementation of the project on expedient utilization of the associated low pressure gas on the “Gyuneshli” field will enable to increase its collection for 2 million cubic meters a day, director general of the Azneft Producing Unit (PU) Yaver Djamalov told Trend. Azneft PU is a part of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR). According to him, this gas will be delivered to the Azerbaijan Gas Emali Joint Stock Company (JSC)(В"Рђzerbaijan gas processing plant”). Up to 6,5 million cubic meters gas a day is produced currently on “Gyuneshli” field.

According to the PU director general, relevant pipes are already bought through tender in the framework of the project. The pipes are currently being installed. Construction of the compressor station on the deepwater stationary platform -4 at “Gyuneshlu” is planned too.

"Compressors will also be brought to the country shortly. The associated gas from “Gyuneshli” will be collected and sent to “Neft Dashlari” (“Oily rocks”) and from there to the shore through the gas pipeline of 68 km length”, he said.

Djamalov noted the necessity for construction of the new gas line of 28 km length for transportation of the high pressure gas and the 23-km length gas pipeline for deliveries of the associated gas into the gas pipeline lengthing 68 km.

The Japanese Japan Oil Engineering Co renders consulting services to SOCAR on the expedient use of the associated gas. It conducts researches on preventing gas losses, its more efficient use at the electrical power stations.
