The Ministry of Industry an Energy (MIE) of Azerbaijan developed a structure of the fuel and energy balance for 2006, the Ministry told Trend.
According to the spokesman, the fuel and energy balance for the next year will differ significantly from 2005. "The current volume of the oil production on the SOCAR fields and the gas import from Russia are planned to be kept at the same level. Increase of the gas production is planned as compared to the previous year, however, the volumes of the increase are currently specified.
Including of the oil and the associated gas volumes produced by the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) into the fuel and energy balance of 2006 is not supposed.
SOCAR projects to produce this year 8,75 million tons of oil and 4,2 billion cubic meters gas. The volume of gas import is 4,5 billion cubic meters.
