Holding of the second sitting of the International Consulting Group on the Transparency Initiative in the Extracting Industry (EITI) will take place in Washington. The sitting is scheduled for 21 October 2005, the Commission on EITI implementation told Trend. The head of the Commission, the executive director of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAR) Samir Sharifov is supposed to take part in the work of the commission.
The preliminary sitting of the International Consulting Group on EITI took place in September in London. The SOFAR executive director Samir Sharifov also participated in the event. One more sitting of the Group is scheduled to be hold on 5-6 April 2006 in Baku.
