The stationary sea platform 18-87 will not be put into exploitation in the oil fields Neft Dashlari until early 2006, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) told Trend. Earlier the Company planned to complete the construction of the platform till late 2005, but it will be possible only in early 2006 due to some reasons.
4 from 36 wells will be drilled in the platform 18-87. The wells are supposed to produce 120 tons oil in a day. “The rest wells are expected to be drilled after complete commissioning of the platform,” the SOCAR noted.
The platform will allow the Company to increase oil production in the Neft Dashlari up to 2400-2450 tons in a day. The figure currently comprises from 2200 to 2300 tons. The construction of the platform is expected to make up from $20m to $30m.
