The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan commenced the drilling of new well 3690 with the project depth of 1400 meters on Bibiheybat field, Trend reports. The daily speed of drilling work is 35 meters. At present the drilling work is implemented in the depth of over 250 meters. The drilling work is implemented by the Absheron Drilling Unit Bibiheybat at the order of the SoCAR.
The SOCAR said that along with this well two more is spudded here the Unit is about to complete the drilling of well 3839 with the project depth of 1850 meters. Well 3659 with the project depth of 1350 meters has reached its depth at 1170 meters.
The key objective of the work is stabilization and increase of oil production at the expense of new wells. By the end of the year it is planned to spud no less than 8 wells here. The Absheron Drilling Unit is also involved in drilling in the fields Balakhani and Gala.
