AZERENERJI DISSATISFIED WITH CURRENT LEVEL OF ENERGY TARIFFS IN AZERBAIJAN

“Azerenerji JSC is dissatisfied with the current level of energy tariffsin Azerbaijan,” Etibar Pirverdiyev, the President of the Company, told Trend.

According to Pirverdiyev, primes cost of 1KW/H electric energy comprises 120 manats depend on cost of standard fuel (mazut or gas), as 80% of prime cost comprises fuel price. “However, energy is sold to energy distribution companies Barmek and Bayva at 71 manats. Therefore, it is necessary to reconsider the tariffs,” he stressed.

The President of Azerenerji also regards application of tariffs depend on consumer category. “Differentiation of consumers receiving energy on 110KV electricity transmission line and 10KV is essential as technical losses on the latter are higher,” he said. According to Pirverdiyev, the Company has addressed to the Cabinet of Ministers in this regard.

Population pays 96 manats for 1KV/H energy, while tariff for state establishments and enterprises comprises 153.4 manats. Commercial organizations pay 295 manats for 1KV/H energy.
