The Azerenerji JSC intends to announce a tender on determination of general contractor for construction of the second stream gas device at Shimal State District Power Station, the Azerenerji told Trend . The Azerenerji unified the list of the companies to participate in the tender with the Japanese Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC).
The agreement on allotment of 29,280m yens long-term credit (over $275m)
for construction of 400MW device was signed in Baku on 13 May. The JBIC presents the credit for 40 years with 10-year grace period at 0.75% annual rate. Total value of the project comprises over $330m.
The project envisaged the construction of 400MW stream-gas device, 220KV 2-circle transmission line, as well as reconstruction of transmitting lines and substations.
According to feasibility study, the implementation of the project may take 30 months, but the Azerbaijani government will attempt to reduce this term.
