320,000 TONS OIL TO BE SHIPPED VIA BATUMI OIL TERMINAL IN OCT

The Batumi oil terminal is supposed to ship 320,000 tons oil in October, Trend reports.

The Norwegian Statoil shipped the oil consignment from 2 to 3 October, while the SOCAR will carry out the shipment from 7 to 8 October, BP вЂ" from 15 to 16 October and ExxonMobil from 20 to 22 October.

From August to January the Batumi terminal shipped 5.9m tons oil consignment or 1.4m tons more as compared 2004. In 2004 the Batumi port shipped 6,778m tons oil or 1.9m tons less as compared 2003.

The Batumi oil terminal is capable to ship 15m ton oil per year. The terminal services the tankers with deadweight from 30,000 to 90,000 tons on four piers. Capacity of the terminal comprises approximately 530,000 tons that is enough for shipment of the current and forecasting amount.
