From January to September the Azerbaijan International operating Company (AIOC) developing the on-shore block Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli produced 8,705 m tons oil of Azeri light brand from the contract area or 3.96 m tons more as compared 2004.
From January to September AIOC produced a total of 5,238m from the Chirag oilfield and 3,466m tons from the Central Azeri, the Company told Trend . AIOC started production of the first oil on 13 February 2005.
In September 2005 AIOC produced 1,335m tons from the ACG or 1,335m tons more as compared August 2005 and 742,000 tons more as compared September 2004. AIOC noted that it produced 563,400 tons from the Chirag and 772,000 tons from the Azeri in September.
