The electrical power supplied by the Azerenerji JSC covers the needs of Baku, the vice president of Barmek Azerbaycan Omar Gyuner told Trend, commenting on suspending of operations of the steam and gas plant (SGP) for the scheduled overhaul of 400 МWt at the “Shimal” Hydro- electrical power station.
According to him, the maximal demand in the electrical power in Baku is 900-950 МWt, which is the result of the cool weather conditions. "We do not expect any problems, as the energy supply correspondents to the consumption. However, in case the consumption exceeds 1000 МWt, there may be problems in power supply of Baku”, the vice president of Barmek Azerbaijan noted.
SGP has been suspended for 24 days and the main blocks and aggregates of SGP are subject to thorough examination. The outdated details and components will be replaced by new ones, relevant measures will be conducted.
