The international conference dedicated to the innovations in small heat production markets started in Baku on Thursday, Trend reports.
Attending the event were experts from France, Lithuania, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, as well as the World Bank and the European bank of Reconstruction and development. The conference was organized by the U.S. PA Consulting, rendering consulting services to the Azerbaijani government within the project on rendering of technical aid to the energy sector.
The sides discussed the role of the private sector in the management of quarterly heat supply on Central and Eastern Europe, problems at establishment of small heat production means in the former USSR countries.
Islam Islamov, the head of the Industry and Energy Ministry, spoke about heat supply sources in the country. According to Islamov, there are many problems in relation to collapse of the USSR.
Ilham Mirzaliyev, a member of the working group of the project on rendering of technical aid to energy sector of the country, informed the participants of the event about the pilot project by PA Government Service Inc.
Besides, it was announced that the conference on institutional reforms in the former USSR countries would be held on Friday.
