Supply of the electrical power to the Nakhchevan Autonomous Republic (NAR)
from Turkey has been resumed since 6 November, the vice-president of the Azerenerji JSC Marlen Askerov told Trend.

NAR currently receives power from Turkey in the amount of 40-50 MWt daily. The supply of power from the neighboring country was suspended on 17 October due to the natural disaster. Owing to unfavorable weather conditions the break of the transmission lines occurred, which caused halting of the power delivery. However, it had not affected much the power supply of NAR, as the basic supplier of power to NAR is Iran.

Since the start of the year 507,632 million kWt/h was supplied by Iran, and 322,636 million kWt/h вЂ" from Turkey. Only вЂAraz’ Hydro-electrical power station is currently operating in NAR.
