McDermott Caspian Contractors to consider demands of employees

The management of McDermott Caspian Contractors will take up the demands of workers which have been put forward on 22 November during the strike.

In the morning of 22 November several hundreds of company’s employees refused to start working, the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), which contractor McDermott Caspian Contractors is, told Trend. The workers put forward, first of all, the demand to increase salaries and required the meeting with the management.

В"The meeting with the management took place and the claims were handed over in written. The management promised, from its part, to consider the claims during the week and take some decision. Tomorrow the workers will come back to their work places”, AIOC specified.

The average salary of workers at McDermott is $500-600.

Today’s incident has not affected the contractor works implemented by McDermott for AIOC.
