Transit rate via Iran's Anzali port increases

Foreign transit through the customs station in the Gilan province has increased by 27 percent during the first half of the year, the Mehr News Agency reported quoting General Director of Bandar Anzali (Anzali port) Customs Mohammad Behbod Ahani as saying.

"In first half of current year 281,59 tons of goods valued $290 million was transited through Bandar Anzali and Astara which indicate 27 percent increase," he said.

Around 92 percent of goods transited through Bandar Anzali customs and 6 percent through Astara, he added.

Around 55 percent of transit goods was Gasoline and Diesel , 31 percent steel ingots and 14 percent plant equipment, wood and machine parts.
