Azerbaijan, Belarus to manufacture special equipment on car factory in Ganja

Ganja Automobile Plant (Azerbaijan) and holding AMKODOR (Belarus) signed a memorandum on co-production of road construction, utilities, snow removal, airport, forest, agricultural and other specialized machinery and equipment in Azerbaijan, the company told Trend.

Ganja Automobile Plant (Azerbaijan) and holding AMKODOR (Belarus) signed a memorandum on co-production of road construction, utilities, snow removal, airport, forest, agricultural and other specialized machinery and equipment in Azerbaijan, the company told Trend.

The memorandum was signed by Director General of the production association Ganja Automobile Plant Kamran Nazarov and representative of the AMKODOR, the director of Dormash plant (part of the holding) Nikolai Kosten.

It is expected that the contract on machinery manufacture will be signed after the consideration of all the technical issues, Nazarov told Trend. It is expected that it will happen soon. The production is scheduled to begin before the end of the year.

Technical maintenance of the produced machinery will be carried out in all the service centers of the Ganja Automobile Plant, located in various regions of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani company has long been cooperating with Belarusian producers of cars and tractors. The contract to assemble and sell the entire line of trucks and tractors of Minsk Automobile and Minsk tractor plant in Azerbaijan was signed at the end of November 2006.

Ganja Plant is able to assemble up to 1,000 trucks and 2,000 tractors a year. Tractors Belarus and MAZ is assembled at the Ganja Automobile Plant now.

AMKODOR holding has more than 80 models and modifications of the machines. The holding includes three business units without legal personality - Plants Drummer, Dormash, Dormashmet, 11 subsidiary business entities and two unitary enterprises. The growth rate of output of the holding amounted to 132.5 percent in 2011.
