He added that Azersun Holding has opened a tea factory and cannery in the Krasnodar area. Matanat-A company signed an agreement on construction of five finishing material production plants in the Krasnodar region.

"Matanat-A company also entered into an agreement to develop gypsum deposits in Karachay-Cherkessia," he said.

Baltika Baku company director general Alexey Skatin told media on Wednesday that the company is actively investing in staff training, purchasing commercial equipment and modernising production, and plans to implement a number of projects to improve the quality of products.

"We plan to continue increasing investments in Azerbaijan, including investments in human capital, job creation, the development of the export potential of alcoholic and soft drinks, as well as investments in international brands," Skatin said.

He said that Azerbaijan has export potential, especially in Xirdalan brand products. It plans to start supplying these to Georgia.
