The Ministry of Nature Protection of Turkmenistan plans to sign a contract with the Turkish company Şahin Inşaat Gyda Tekstil we Otomotiw Sanaýi we Tijaret Limited Şirket, which will act as the general contractor, according to the Presidential Decree.

The contract will provide for the design and construction of an amusement park in the Avaza national tourism zone and landscaping of the adjacent territory.

The document instructs to begin construction in May 2013 and complete the project to be commissioned in May 2015.

As reported in the media of Turkmenistan on Saturday, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized at a recent government meeting that the project for the development of the Avaza tourist zone will still remain the area of the government's main focus.

Turkmenistan has announced a number of international tenders for the construction of venues and facilities at the site. According to official figures, Turkmenistan's investments already amount to over $1.5 billion.

The first-ever International Tourism Congress of Turkmenistan is scheduled to be held in Avaza in September 2013.
