Azerbaijan, Baku, 21 June / Trend A.Akhundov /

Currently the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan is not considering the issue of introduction of compulsory agricultural insurance.

This was stated by the head of the State Insurance Supervision Service under the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan Namig Khalilov, in an interview to a journal published by the Romanian PR company Media XPRIMM, and dedicated to the insurance market of Azerbaijan.

A special issue of the journal was timed to coincide with the fourth International Insurance Forum, which is being held in Baku on June 20-21.

"We are focused on the optimisation of the subsidisation system of a certain part of insurance premiums of this type by the state. We are studying the international practice that offers sufficient successful models," Khalilov said.

In this case, the State Insurance Supervision Service considers the models based on the principles of partnership between government and the private sector as the most appropriate ones.
