Turkey’s revenues from tourism increase by over 10 percent

In 2013 Turkey's revenues from tourism increased by 11.4 percent to $ 32,032,424,000 compared to 2012, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in its report released on Jan.30.

In 2013 Turkey's revenues from tourism increased by 11.4 percent to $ 32,032,424,000 compared to 2012, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in its report released on Jan.30.

According to the report, 78.9 percent of the total volume of revenues from tourism fell to the revenues from foreign tourists, 21.1 percent from Turkish citizens living abroad and visiting Turkey.

According to the institute, $24,836,789,000 was got within private travelling and some $7,473,653,000 within group travelling.

In 10 months of 2013 the country was visited by 31 million tourists, which is by 11.5 percent more than in the same period of 2012.
