Head: Azerbaijani customs successfully fulfills all tasks

Baku, Azerbaijan, Jan.30

By Emin Aliyev - Trend:

The year 2013 was successful for Azerbaijan, and it is important that against the background of the successes achieved by the country, the Azerbaijani customs managed to successfully fulfill all its tasks, chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan Aydin Aliyev said on Jan.30 at an expanded meeting of the SCC board dedicated to the results of activity in 2013 and the upcoming tasks.

Touching upon the goals of the state committee for 2014, Aliyev expressed confidence that all of them will be successfully implemented.

"This also concerns the fulfillment of priority tasks, including the prognosis for contributions to the state budget. The introduction of Euro-4 ecological standard will not affect the fulfillment of the prognosis, since the cars of Euro-2 standard, the import of which will be banned, cost much less than the cars complying with Euro-4. The weighted tax policy will also make its contribution to the implementation of these tasks," the SCC head said.

Talking about the achievements of the committee, Aliyev also stressed the election of Azerbaijan Deputy Chair of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Additionally, during the meeting of the board, the SCC head gave orders on implementation of the current tasks, improvement of discipline and other issues.
After the meeting of the board, its participants adopted an appeal to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
