Huseyn Salamov has been appointed head of the State Road Transport Service of Azerbaijani Transport Ministry, the ministry said on Jan.30. Salamov previously served as the head of the ministry's International Relations Department.
Salamov replaced Chingiz Bakhishov in this post who in turn has been appointed adviser to the minister of transport, the ministry said.
During a meeting held on Jan.30 at the ministry, the Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov stressed the necessity of carrying out work in the sphere of renovation of bus and car fleets, prevention of illegal activities of inspectors, application of electronic payment for public transport, passenger safety, etc.
